The Baddies love July.

Things I loved in July....

 Diet Pepsi by Addison Rae.

One of my earliest core memories is my older brother absolutely roasting the shit out of me for being a pop queen, the year was 1999 and I was 6 years old but he had much higher expectations for my musical preferences! I am happy to report my music world has expanded massively but one thing still reigns supreme, I'm a sucker for a catch ass pop song like a true 90's baby.

A sneaky mid year Christmas or two.

Now I'm going to be honest, I have an English step mother who is a secret feeder and avid roaster of meats so most Sunday family dinners are akin to a Christmas dinner but, do they involve Christmas crackers and gaudy Christmas headbands? No they don't, so I say jingle those July bells gang.

Beef Jerky.
This ones a little rogue as my brain is telling me I'm eating dog treats but I'm a bit of a beef jerky lover this month, most specifically a local companies spicy Vietnamese beef jerky which I want to be buried with so I can continue my feast well into the afterlife.

My Dalmatian Jasper.
A few weeks ago whilst at brunch with my friends I let them in on a secret. When I'm in the shower and the glass gets all steamy, I treat it as my personal momentary manifestation journal. I write anything and everything I want to happen on the glass, and within a few seconds the writing has become lost in the fog but hey me and the universe knows it was there! I say this to preface that I can be a lil crunchy, I believe in fate, destiny aaaaaaand crystals (My Mum once compared me to Frankie from Grace and Frankie which seemed like a bit of a stretch buuuuut let's check in again in 20 years). When I went to Perth last year, I left with an amber ring that I wear every day and when I left Adelaide a few weeks ago I left with a cute little dalmatian jasper that sits on my bed side table and every night before bed I hold him in my hand and squeeze the living shit out of him willing a little stone to solve all my problems...you know...normal stuff.

Baingan Bharta.
One of the best things about my new home is that I have a gas stove which means you can catch me charring eggplants at least once a week! I am a bit of a recipe repeater. Every week in May and June, I made the same curried mince recipe my Mum used to make when I was growing up. In July? It's been this Baingan Bharta recipe that I used to make about a year ago and have rediscovered. I eat it with naan, which I don't currently make from scratch but I'm thinking of starting.

Lanebreak on the Peloton.
A friend of mine used to be obsessed with Orangetheory because she said it made her feel like she was in a video game...That is me and Lanebreak, I can ride for years because I will not get less than 100%!

Buying myself flowers.
I am a gem and I deserve them, frequently and in vast quantities.

Grenache Shiraz.
For the last 4 years of my life I swore off red wine for one singular reason, it gave me crazy heart burn! At first this rocked me to my actual core, how old was I! I am happy to report that after a recent winery trip, I have kicked the side effect kids! Jordan is back on the reds!

Being 32.

Happy Birthday to me kids!

Things I didn't love in July...

Still the Happy Birthday song! The one consistent arch nemesis I've had in my life...32 years strong!

I am nothing, if not loyal to my brand

P.S. lol at my top Spotify songs this month....I'm not sure why that random Lonely Island song has been on repeat in my brain but I've been listening to it in a an effort to get it the hell out of there!
