Current Favourites:
The Sun.
A Blue Sky.
A Warm Day.
I've officially reached the part of my life where I feel daily moments of gratitude for the weather.
I'm happy to live in a sun soaked country, where I pull the blinds each morning without having to think to myself ugh what is the sky going to look like today, will my hair frizz under a raincloud? I don't own snow boots (not that I did when I lived in the snow either but still..) or rainboots. I don't even look at the weather app.
I wake up, I leash up my pup and we are off.
We do laps along the river or through the park several times a day, and I actually feel physical joy to see everyone out enjoying their lives. The 45 year old man on his post-work jog, flap-hat adorned kids running barefoot in little packs or athleisure girlies having an early morning girls debrief stroll, what's that feeling that everyone around you is living a totally unique life?
Hold on let me google.
Sonder!
Sonder in the Sun.
It's like Sex in the City...but 100% different and not even remotely similar.
I keep a picnic blanket by my front door and spend hours upon hours sprawled upon it reading a book or listening to a podcast or commiserating over a cheeseboard.
When I have temporary moments of boredom I've taken to sitting outside doing some crappy water colouring and I dunno....listening to the birds?
Anyways.
That's my only real life update.
I'm very jazzed on the sun.
I've entered my "appreciating a good tree" era.
I like it here.
